Probably Western India
Late 18th/early 19th century
Diameter 18.5cm

"The pattern is repeating flower sprigs within circular borders of scrolling stems and rosettes. The round pankha is designed with a split from edge to centre, which marks the point at which the stick would be attached.

Objects of this kind are usually double-faced, with a canvas interlining. Here presumably the faces have been separated, as the pankha is mounted on a board."
