This wonderfully made Duck’s head shows the extraordinary skill and artistry of Oomersi Mawji. Although he has modelled birds and animals, this is the only duck’s head that is known. The quality of this head is evident from the manner in which the feathers and features of the bird have been dileniated. This a truly beautiful example of the work of a great silversmith who converts mere craftsmanship into high art.
